Travel to UNC Chapel Hill Campus

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) is conveniently located about 20 minutes drive from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). We plan to set up Slack channel so that participants can communicate/organize their Uber/Lyft rides from RDU to the UNC campus.

For local attendees who are driving daily to the Carolina Inn (meeting venue), the day parking cost is $5/day. The overnight parking cost is $23/day for the guests who are staying at the Carolina Inn. Mention "ACTC2024" to receive this event discount. 


Meeting Venue : Carolina Inn 

ACTC 2024 meeting will take place in the Carolina Inn, which is located on the UNC Campus. On June 17 (Monday), you will obtain the meeting badge in the morning (7:30am~), outside of Hill Ballroom (lectures). 


On-campus Housing (Dorm) Information

If you have included the dormitory housing option in your registration, you should have received an email from us. If not, please contact us at 2024actc@gmail.com  A pillow, a bath towel, a hand towel, bed sheets, a blanket, shampoo/conditioner/soap, wash sponge, disposable shower sandals, are provided.

Upon arrival, please go directly to Carmichael Residence Hall, to check in.  ACTC2024 staff will be there along with the UNC housing staff to help you check in. If you arrive early, you might consider going to the student center (across South Road) in which you find Stone & Leaf cafe inside.

Residence hall : Carmichael,  single-occupancy rooms with shared bathroom (based on the identified gender).

Information for a weekend getaway after ACTC 2024

After the ACTC 2024 (June 17 (Mon) ~ June 20 (Thurs. ~1pm)), you might consider a weekend getaway to mountains or beaches in North Carolina. Chapel Hill is located about a three-hour drive from the Appalachian mountains and a similar distance from Carolina's coastal beaches, including the Outer Banks.
